                  Hershey

            Breed: American Miniature Horse

                         Gender: Stallion

        Personality: Curious, Sweet, Spirited

Story:  He was kept in a herd of miniature horses and some big horses. The big horses bullied the miniature horses. A rescue came and rescued some of the minis including, Hershey. At the rescue, Hershey was the boss of two stallions. One day I came to the rescue and saw Hershey, I fell in love with my baby. I wanted him so bad, but we didn't have the money.

After my Aunt lost her mare, her gelding George grieved deeply. My Aunt decided she should get George a companion. So we told her about Hershey, my Aunt said she would get Hershey, provide for his feed, vet, etc., if I would take care of him. Of course I said yes! We went down to the rescue so my Aunt could see Hershey. We got out the adoption papers, and my Aunt and mother went home to get the horse trailer. Hours passed and my sister was informed that my Aunt couldn't get Hershey anymore because of her husband my Uncle. I cried and cried. Weeks passed and I still was sad I couldn't get Hershey. I was able to visit him every week. One day my Father said we could get him if we did our chores, I was overjoyed, that we could finally get Hershey.

To this day Hershey is happily grazing with Echo my sister's horse in the field. Sadly George died in 2014, he was old and had health issues. But I know he is much happier now in Heaven, running on the clouds.
